DTG Tree and Grounds is owned and operated by brothers Tom and Giuseppe who both share an equal passion for serving their customers. The business was founded over 6 years ago by Giuseppe who operated as a sole trader for many years looking after domestic and commercial properties throughout Devon. Giuseppe still runs all our quoting and operations in the business and is the driving force behind our fantastic service and reputation.
Tom joined the business later and brought his 15 years of experience to DTG that he gained in working for a large national contractor across the UK. Tom has joined as the new Managing Director and is focussed on taking the business to new heights in terms of our service offering and level of professionalism. Since joining Tom has helped DTG secure many new commercial clients and various frameworks with high profile clients such as Forestry England.
The business is now in its 6th year of trading and is proud to have over two hundred 5-star reviews across various platforms such as Google, Trustpilot and Checkatrade. Serving the customer is at the heart of our business and is embedded in all our staff and team members. We deliver the same high standard of service whether working on a school, council, domestic property or for Forestry England.

Danny
Grounds Maintenance Operative
Danny has joined us as a Grounds Maintenance Operative, with extensive experience in managing large multi-acre estates and handling all aspects of grounds work. He holds both his PA6 chemical weed treatment certification and a chainsaw licence. In addition, Danny is a trained and competent fencer and landscaper. He absolutely loves the outdoors. When he's not at work, you'll most likely find him fishing.
BRYN
Senior Supervisor
Bryn qualified from Bicton College in 2009 and has been working in the arboriculture industry ever since. He’s a highly skilled climber and a excellent team leader, capable of tackling any task, from tree pruning and pollarding to managing the tallest trees with ease. Bryn consistently delivers work of the highest standard, always adhering to strict health and safety protocols. Outside of work, you’ll often find Bryn walking his dog or riding his mountain bike down rugged trails.
Giuseppe
Operations Director
Giuseppe, co-owner and founder of DTG, started the business out of his passion for serving customers. He handles all aspects of project quoting and ensures smooth delivery of each job. In addition to his leadership role, Giuseppe is a skilled tree surgeon and grounds maintenance operative, with a strong commitment to completing work safely and to the highest standards. He remains hands-on, often working alongside the team to stay connected with both staff and clients. Outside of work, Giuseppe enjoys spending time with his young family, taking walks with the dogs, and embracing all the joys of fatherhood.
Richard
Grounds Maintenance Operative & Tree Surgeon
Richard brings over 30 years of experience in tree surgery and grounds maintenance, mastering every aspect of the job. Known for his steady and methodical approach, Richard consistently delivers work to the highest standards. A true multi-talented professional, he’s not only a highly skilled tree surgeon and climber but also an excellent grounds maintenance operative and a proficient fencer. Outside of work, Richard's passions lie in music and art. He’s a talented guitarist and a gifted painter, always finding time to express his creativity.
Thomas Nicotra
Managing Director
Tom is our Managing Director and co-owner of DTG, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business. While his role is primarily behind the scenes, he’s often out on-site, delivering projects and staying hands-on with all aspects of tree work and grounds maintenance. With a background in working for large contractors across various sectors, Tom brings a high level of professionalism and a strong focus on HSQE (Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment) to the business. Outside of work, Tom is a dedicated family man who loves spending time with his wife and two young children.
Janet
Administrator and Business Development
Janet plays a vital role in the back office, focusing entirely on supporting the business through administration and business development. With a long career in office-based roles, she excels in staying organised and efficient, helping the business run smoothly behind the scenes. In her free time, Janet enjoys spending quality time with her children and her first grandchild, as well as taking walks on Dartmoor.
