DTG Trees & Grounds Retains ARB Approved Contractor Status
DTG Trees & Grounds Retains ARB Approved Contractor Status
We are delighted to share that DTG Trees & Grounds has successfully passed its latest Arboricultural Association audit and officially remains accredited as an ARB Approved Contractor.
This is an achievement the whole team can be proud of. It reflects the work that goes on both onsite and behind the scenes to maintain high standards across our tree surgery and arboricultural services in Devon.
For our customers, the accreditation provides further reassurance that they are choosing a professional tree care company that takes safety, quality and customer service seriously.
What Is an ARB Approved Contractor?
ARB Approved Contractor status is awarded to arboricultural businesses that have been independently assessed by the Arboricultural Association.
Rather than relying solely on what a company says about its own work, the assessment looks at how the business operates in practice. This includes areas such as professional competence, working procedures, health and safety, equipment, training, administration and the standard of work being delivered.
Passing the audit confirms that DTG continues to meet the standards expected of an approved arboricultural contractor.
It is not simply a badge for the website or vehicles. It is a recognised sign that our systems, people and working practices have been reviewed independently.
Why Independent Assessment Matters
Tree surgery is skilled and potentially hazardous work. Choosing the right contractor is important, whether you need a small tree pruned in a domestic garden or extensive tree work carried out across a commercial site.
An independently assessed contractor gives customers greater confidence that the work will be properly planned and completed by a professional team.
This is especially important when tree work involves:
- Large or mature trees
- Trees close to homes, roads or public spaces
- Difficult access
- Specialist machinery
- Commercial and managed sites
- Protected trees or conservation areas
- Work requiring detailed risk assessments and planning
Our ARB Approved Contractor status supports the standards we already aim to deliver on every project, from the initial quotation through to the final clean-up.
A Commitment to Professional Arboriculture
At DTG Trees & Grounds, professional arboriculture is about much more than cutting branches or removing trees.
Every job requires careful consideration of the tree, its surroundings and the reason the work is being requested. In some cases, pruning may be the most appropriate option. In others, a tree survey, ongoing monitoring or removal may be required.
The right recommendation should be based on the condition of the tree and the circumstances of the site, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
Our tree surgery services include:
- Tree pruning and crown management
- Tree reductions
- Tree felling and dismantling
- Deadwood removal
- Stump grinding
- Emergency tree work
- Tree surveys and professional consultancy
Through DTG Tree Consultancy, we can also provide clearer information for homeowners, landowners, managing agents, developers and commercial clients who need professional guidance before making decisions about their trees.
Safety Remains a Priority
Safe working practices are central to everything we do.
Tree work often takes place around buildings, neighbouring properties, vehicles, roads and members of the public. It can involve climbing, chainsaws, lifting equipment and the controlled lowering of heavy sections of timber.
This means every project needs the right people, equipment and planning in place before work begins.
Retaining our ARB Approved Contractor accreditation reflects the continued effort made across the business to maintain strong safety procedures. These standards protect our staff, our customers and everyone who may be affected by the work.
A Team Achievement
Passing an audit like this is not down to one person. It is the result of a full team effort across our tree crews, managers, office staff and everyone involved in keeping operations running properly.
We would, however, like to give a special thank you to Joe Cox and Jonathan Aplin.
Their hard work, dedication and attention to detail played a major part in preparing for the audit and ensuring the process was completed successfully. Their contribution reflects the pride and care shown throughout the wider DTG team.
We are incredibly pleased to see that work recognised.
What This Means for Our Customers
For customers looking for an ARB Approved Contractor in Devon, our retained accreditation provides confidence that DTG has been assessed against professional industry standards.
Whether we are working for a homeowner, school, care provider, holiday park, facilities manager or national commercial client, our aim remains the same. We want to provide clear communication, sound advice and tree work completed safely and professionally.
Customers can continue to expect:
- Professional advice based on the needs of the tree and site
- Careful planning before work begins
- Trained and experienced teams
- Appropriate equipment and safe working practices
- Respect for homes, businesses and surrounding property
- A tidy site once the work is complete
The accreditation supports these promises, but it is the work carried out by our team every day that brings them to life.
Continuing to Raise Standards
We are proud to remain an ARB Approved Contractor, but we also recognise that professional standards require ongoing work.
Training, equipment, legislation and industry practices continue to develop. As a business, we remain committed to learning, improving and investing in the people and systems that allow us to deliver dependable tree care.
This latest successful audit is an important milestone, but it is also part of a wider commitment to maintaining high standards as DTG continues to grow.
