DTG Trees & Grounds Proud to Support Starcross Golf
We are always pleased to support good local causes, and this one is a little closer to home.
DTG Trees & Grounds are proud to be supporting our friends at Starcross Golf, helping the club prepare for the 2027 season with sponsorship of their new course flags.
The current season may be drawing to a close, but the team at Starcross Golf are already looking ahead and getting things in place for next year. Their new flags are ready to go, and we are delighted to have played a small part in helping make that happen.
For us, local sponsorship is about more than simply putting the DTG name somewhere. It is about supporting the clubs, organisations and people that help make communities across Devon such good places to live, work and spend time.
Supporting Local Clubs in Devon
As a Devon-based business, we think it is important to support local organisations where we can.
Community clubs bring people together, give people somewhere to socialise and encourage them to stay active. They also rely on a huge amount of work behind the scenes from staff, volunteers, members and local supporters.
Starcross Golf is a great example of that.
The club provides somewhere for local players to enjoy the game, improve their skills and spend time outdoors. Whether someone has been playing for years or is simply looking for a new way to get active, local facilities like this matter.
That is why we are so pleased to support the club going into the 2027 season.
Getting Ready for the Next Golf Season
Even when a season is coming to an end, there is always plenty of work going on behind the scenes at a golf club.
Planning ahead helps make sure everything is ready when players return in greater numbers. From maintaining the course to preparing equipment and replacing worn features, the quieter months are often when some of the most important preparation takes place.
The new course flags are one small part of that preparation, but they will help give the course a fresh look when the next season begins.
We are looking forward to seeing them out on the course in 2027.
Why Local Sponsorship Matters to Us
DTG has grown significantly over the years, with our teams now working across Devon on tree surgery, grounds maintenance, fencing and tree consultancy projects.
Despite that growth, remaining connected to the communities where we started and where many of our customers live is still very important to us.
We are fortunate to work with homeowners, businesses, care providers, schools, holiday parks and commercial clients across the county. Supporting organisations such as Starcross Golf is one way we can give something back to the areas that continue to support us.
Local businesses and community organisations often have a lot in common. Both depend on strong relationships, good reputations and people who care about what they are building.
When those businesses and organisations support one another, everyone benefits.
The Importance of Well-Maintained Outdoor Spaces
There is also a natural connection between the work we do and places such as golf clubs.
Good outdoor spaces need regular care. Trees, grass, boundaries and vegetation all need to be managed properly if a site is going to remain safe, attractive and enjoyable to use.
At DTG Trees & Grounds, our work across Devon includes:
- Commercial grounds maintenance
- Tree surgery and arboricultural work
- Tree surveys and consultancy
- Hedge and vegetation management
- Fencing installation and repairs
- Grounds improvement projects
Although every site is different, the principle stays the same. Outdoor spaces work best when they are looked after consistently and with a clear plan.
Golf clubs, sports facilities and other leisure sites are no exception. Presentation matters, but so do safety, access and long-term maintenance.
Proud to Be Part of the Local Area
Starcross sits within an area of Devon that we know well, and it is always good to see local clubs continuing to invest in their facilities and plan ahead.
Community sports can sometimes be taken for granted, but the clubs themselves depend on the effort of people who give their time to keep everything running.
From organising events and maintaining facilities to welcoming new members, a great deal happens that most visitors never see.
We are pleased to support that work and to help the club as it prepares for another season.
Looking Forward to 2027
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone at Starcross Golf for giving DTG the opportunity to support the club.
It has been great seeing the new flags ready for next season, and we are looking forward to seeing them out on the course when 2027 gets underway.
Hopefully there will be plenty of good weather, plenty of golf and maybe even a few improved handicaps along the way.
From everyone at DTG Trees & Grounds, we wish the club and its members all the best for the season ahead.
Bring on the spring and plenty more golf.
